Feminism

A range of social movements, political movements, and ideologies that aim to define and establish the political, economic, personal, and social equality of the sexes. Feminism has fundamentally reshaped laws, education, and social norms across much of the globe. From the suffrage movement to modern intersectional feminism and the #MeToo era, it has been a primary force for justice while also being a lightning rod for cultural and political pushback. The ongoing struggle for reproductive rights and the dismantling of patriarchal structures remains a central, global human rights issue.
